Activities

Many people come to visit Crete for its beautiful  beaches and Cretan hospitality. However, with such a varied landscape covering the island, there are plenty of other activities to do here. Crete has a high mountain range crossing from West to East. The geographical location has created many plateaus and gorges. For this reason walking and hiking are very popular. In the winter months, the White Mountains are covered in snow. This makes it a winter wonderland not far from Chania. Off piste skiing and snowboarding can be done as well as snowmen making! The varied beaches offers opportunities for water-sports, surfing, kitesurfing, wakeboarding and sailing. The crystal clear waters make it the ideal place for snorkelling, diving and swimming. The Cretan diet and access to a wide range of fresh products, make it the perfect time to try a cooking course and learn some of the Cretan cuisines. If not, there are plenty of tavernas and restaurants to dine in.
