Armenoi is located 4km inland from Kalyves.
It benefits from so being close to Kalyves when you need it and its amenities, but a world away in a peaceful old Cretan village. Armenoi does boast its own excellent butcher and cheese shops, coffee shops and tavernas along with a mini – market and chesmist.
There is a large tree in the road outside the traditional kafenion, where you can sit and watch the world go by. . It is impressive with its architecture and history. There are some fine walks through the fertile agricultural land and alongside the streams or up the hill from the square to the old village and some beautifully restored houses.
